Purpose of the Department
To fully utilize the scientific and intellectual potential of KazGASA, develop research and innovation, enhance the effectiveness of R&D outcomes, support educational programs, and strengthen international cooperation among scholars and professionals.

Department of Science
The Department of Science and Innovation (DSI) operates in accordance with the legislative and regulatory acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Charter of KazGASA LLP, and the Regulation on the Department.
The DSI defines scientific and innovation activities based on the Strategic Development Program of KazGASA, as well as the decisions of the Academic Council and the Scientific and Technical Council.
Research
The university conducts research and has project groups working to implement R&D (research work).

Functions of the Department of Science
Planning and organizing events to promote scientific activity among KazGASA faculty, including conferences, round tables, and seminars.
Ensuring compliance with MES RK regulations regarding dissertation councils and degree awarding procedures.
Preparing and submitting timely reports on research and development to the Academic and Scientific-Technical Councils.
Offering consulting and methodological support to staff, faculty, and doctoral students in working with international bibliometric databases.
Supporting youth scientific bodies such as the Council of Young Scientists and Student Scientific Society at KazGASA.
Assisting faculty and students in participating in symposiums, conferences, and other scientific events.
Monitoring and analyzing KazGASA departments’ performance in implementing R&D plans.
Distributing internal announcements, orders, and information on research-related events to all structural divisions.
Organizing initiatives to boost faculty publication activity in internationally ranked journals.
Providing statistical data and research reports to regulatory bodies upon request.
Supporting student involvement in research activities at KazGASA.
Providing full-cycle support (organizational, methodological, and analytical) for scientific projects.
Analyzing the effectiveness and outcomes of KazGASA’s R&D efforts.
